Meiko Krishok is a Detroit-based chef and proprietor of Guerrilla Food, a grass roots farm-to-any-location-you-can-imagine project.  She draws huge crowds every Thursday, May thru October, in a lovely North Corktown field, with her Pink Flamingo food trailer events.  Her philosophy of food as medicine:  "Our bodies have the amazing ability to heal themselves. Yet, we are constantly putting them through so much.  What can we do to rejuvenate ourselves and maintain our vitality?  What are our bodies really asking for?  How can we tune in and listen, and then act consciously upon that?  It is a beautiful, complicated and joyful process."  We've come a long way from hunting, gathering, and growing.  Many of us have lost our connection with the earth, and what it provides.  Here's a chance to slow down, gather together, and partake in the original "whole foods".  See ya there.  Sukhi hotu.
