Preeti’s Afternoon Tea July August 2019.jpg

Afternoon Tea, a staple of British culture since it's introduction in 1840 by Anna Maria, the Seventh Duchess of Bedford. Anna would gather friends for tea, accompanied by finger sandwiches and dainty desserts, to prevent her usual late afternoon "faint feeling". By the 1880's, high society had turned it into a formal midday social event. Fast forward 139 years and afternoon tea can mean anything from a cup of tea and biscuit to a full-on spread of delicacies. But, something interesting became the trend at high-end London hotels over the past few years. Indian Afternoon Tea. The structure of classic British afternoon tea with all the flavors of the Indian Subcontinent. So, join us for Indian Afternoon Tea, with Chef Preeti Sidhu. Masala Chai served with a family-style assortment of ten savory and sweet Indian delicacies and finger foods. Come drink tea, eat treats, socialize, eat more treats, then go home and start planning your own Afternoon Tea tradition.

"Preeti Sidhu began her love affair with cooking as a young girl in Punjab. Initially, baking cakes for family celebrations, then moving on to the myriad exotic and flavorful dishes India has to offer. But, she doesn't cook what you'll find in local Indian restaurants. Not at all. She cooks Indian masterpieces, the like you've never even had the opportunity to taste...unless you attended her previous, very-sold-out (revolver) dinners...or visited Punjab. But, now's your chance to experience what the buzz is all about. So, bring your taste buds and an empty belly, and leave with dreams of India."
